about the artist
I spent my childhood creating costumes and wanting to be a special effects makeup artist, influenced by my close proximity to so many filming locations for The Walking Dead in rural Georgia. It wasn't until 2018, on a tour of SCAD, that I fell in love with illustration. Ultimately, the same thing that drew me to costumes and makeup also drew me to illustration- the ability to tell a story.
In my portfolio, the aesthetic ranges anywhere from dark whimsy to technicolor kitsch. Forever torn between the convenience of working digitally and the siren call of the painting studio, I create work both ways. When I'm not working, you can find me writing my own stories, watching historical dramas, performing showtunes for my dog and cat, and adding to my ever-growing collection of statement eyeglasses.
